Arnaud Florentin (FLOW)

Arnaud Florentin, also known as Flow, is a painter born in Nancy in 1978. He resides and creates in this city, where his artistic work tirelessly explores movement through a unique gesture. His painting is a constant quest for movement, characterized by assertive gestural work.

Style and Influence

Influenced by Action Painting and Expressionism, Flow projects material onto the canvas without ever touching it, thus creating original and spontaneous compositions. He uses the Dripping technique, pouring and projecting paint to bring his faces to life without physical contact, allowing for the unexpected and artistic freedom. This approach, sensitive to displacements and movements, navigates the border of unpredictability. Flow explains, "Painting must live, overflow, explode, surprise, touch the soul."

Works and Themes

Flow masters multiple techniques, and the subjects he tackles are even more varied. In addition to portraits of famous or unknown characters, his works depict scenes inspired by music, sports, urban life, popular icons, the human body, and animals.

Exhibitions and Awards

Flow has exhibited in various galleries in France and internationally, including in Quebec, Rouen, and Lyon, at the District 13 contemporary urban art fair in Paris, as well as at the Ars Essentia gallery in Beaune. His commitment to painting is profound, expressed through a gesture that transcends the limits of the medium.
